Herpes Dating

Herpes Dating Websites

Herpes Dating does have some special considerations.  But if you’re just starting out, it might be helpful to start out by finding other people to date who already have herpes.  Fortunately, that’s not too hard.  Herpes is super common, and there are dating sites and online groups that cater to people just like you.  Below are some of the most popular herpes dating sites.  There are also some tips for how to find people who have herpes on some of the most popular regular dating sites.

Once you have come to terms with your herpes diagnosis and if you are one of the many people whose symptoms are mild, few and far between, under control, or maybe you don’t notice any symptoms at all – you may feel ready to start dating in the general community.  Please know that you will always have to disclose your herpes status before having sexual contact with anyone, but herpes is so common that more than half of the people you might date probably already have some form of herpes and they just don’t know it yet.  For more info about Having The Talk about Herpes, go to https://datingwithherpes.org/tellingsomeone/

Positive Singles

PositiveSingles.com (PS) is the largest online dating service for people with Herpes and other STDs. With tens of thousands of members, PositiveSingles is NOT exclusively for people with herpes. People with HPV, HSV-1, HSV-2, HIV, Hepatitis, and other STDs are served in the same searchable profile database, so you can select just to see profiles with HSV-1 and/or HSV-2 or HPV. PositiveSingles.com is one of the more expensive herpes dating services, but a lot of people sign up because there are many more profiles for people with herpes than any other site.  You can sign up for free and later decide if you want to pay to upgrade in order to email or reply to other members.

Hwerks

Hwerks.com is a community exclusively for people with Herpes (HSV-1, HSV-2)  and HPV. In addition to user profiles and dating, it has community features,  groups, blogs, forums, photos, local and national social group and event   listings, etc. They are supportive of local H social groups and social events.  They are one of the less expensive herpes dating sites, but with fewer profiles than PositiveSingles.

Secret Facebook H Groups

There are many local, national and international Secret Facebook Groups for people with genital herpes (HSV-1, HSV-2) and HPV.  Some of these groups are support groups, while others are specifically for people who are looking to date others in the general H community. There are groups for all types of interests, including LGBTQ, Christians, Jews, People of Color, Asians, Gamers, World Travelers, Age Groups, Poly, Swingers, and other segments. The problem with dating someone you meet via Facebook is that there is no *vetting* of any members, and if the relationship goes south, it’s possible that they may post something negative about you for others to see.  Always be careful about whom you meet online or in person, and what information you share with anyone, and make sure to protect your privacy online.

To learn how to join any of these *secret* herpes Facebook groups, the first group you should join is National HELP, which is a herpes support group and NOT a dating group.  From there, you can ask to join your local or regional herpes social/support group, and then from there, any herpes dating groups.  There are good reasons for people to start in National HELP and then add their local groups and then add any herpes dating groups on FB.  To learn how to join National HELP or your local/regional herpes group(s), please go to  our page about Herpes Support and Social Groups and look for your local group and/or National HELP.  Please keep in mind that except for the groups that are specifically for singles looking to date. many people have joined the groups just for herpes information and support and are NOT looking for anyone to date.  Do NOT troll for dates in support groups, or you may be reported and removed from all groups.

Good luck!
